*Jana Foundation for Family Development Meets with the Local Authority of Al-Mudabbara District, Lahj Governorate*

In continued efforts to strengthen partnership and cooperation between civil society organizations and the local authority, *Jana Foundation for Family Development* met this morning, Sunday, January 12, 2025, with the local authority leadership of *Al-Mudabbara District, Lahj Governorate*, represented by Dr. Ali Ahmed Hassan, "Secretary-General of the Local Council of the District," and in the presence of officials from all relevant sectors in the district.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ali welcomed the *Jana Foundation delegation*, highlighting the important role of civil society organizations in complementing the efforts of the local authority. He explained that the meeting aimed to assess the needs of the district for developmental and humanitarian projects, identify programs and projects that meet the citizens' needs, and review the priority projects that will contribute to improving the quality of life and promoting sustainability in the region.

On his part, *Mr. Akram Shahdat*, "Grants and Partnerships Specialist at Jana Foundation," provided a detailed explanation of the key developmental and humanitarian projects being implemented by the foundation in the areas of water and environmental sanitation, food, education, and health. He emphasized the importance of partnership with the local authority to obtain accurate and comprehensive information that helps in the implementation of projects and ensures their success in meeting the citizens' needs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, *Mr. Akram Shahdat* expressed his thanks and appreciation to the local authority for their continued cooperation and overcoming obstacles to ensure the successful implementation of development projects. He commended the significant role the local authority plays in providing a working environment that contributes to improving the living conditions of the citizens.
