*Jana Family Development Foundation Engages with EU Ambassadors to Strengthen Coordination and Mobilize Funding*

On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the Jana Family Development Foundation (JFFD) participated in a significant meeting with European Union ambassadors and representatives of EU missions in Yemen. This engagement aimed to discuss challenges faced by civil society organizations, explore funding opportunities, and enhance collaboration between local NGOs and international partners.

 

Representing JFFD, Mr. Akram Ahmed Shahadat, Grants and Partnerships Specialist, delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the foundation's activities and areas of intervention across the governorates of Aden, Lahij, Abyan, and Al-Dhalea. He emphasized JFFD's efforts in protecting vulnerable groups, empowering women, and promoting sustainable livelihoods.

 

The meeting underscored the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure effective and comprehensive responses to Yemen's escalating crises, particularly amid growing economic and social challenges. Discussions also focused on the necessity of supporting national organizations with strong community presence to enhance impact and achieve balanced development.

 

EU ambassadors expressed appreciation for JFFD's initiatives and showed interest in exploring future collaboration opportunities to support projects aimed at alleviating the suffering of Yemenis and fostering community stability.

 

This meeting aligns with JFFD's commitment to strengthening governance, expanding its donor base, and operating with transparency and responsibility to achieve tangible and sustainable impact in targeted communities.

 

Attendees included the EU Ambassador to Yemen, as well as the ambassadors of France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Finland.
